Google Workspace, trusted by 3 billion users, enables enterprises to stay connected, share ideas, boost productivity, and work securely from anywhere. This integration marks a transformative journey in enterprise collaboration.
Renowned for its pioneering spirit, SAP has 5 decades of expertise in the enterprise software market, handling 87% of global commerce. The partnership with Google Workspace provides a seamless integration between accurate enterprise data and productivity applications, enhancing task accomplishment for SAP S/4HANA customers.
Accessing Google Workspace applications directly from within the secured SAP S/4HANA Cloud eliminates the need to gather files from emails and drives, download them, modify them, and manually input the information into the ERP. Conversely, data from the ERP system can be effortlessly shared and edited using Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, and other Workspace applications, all within the secure confines of the cloud.
So if any of the below is true for you or your customer, consider this integration between Google Workspace and SAP S/4HANA:
Users switch between S/4HANA and Google Workspace throughout their workday.
Users prefer to analyze financial data in Google Sheets.
Users waste time during the week reconciling S/4HANA data with offline documents they previously exported.

High-Level Steps for Integration
The Google Workspace account is owned and managed by the customer.
The SAP Document Management Service integration option, running on a customer-owned tenant of the Business Technology Platform, is crucial for integrating SAP S/4HANA and Google Workspace.
After subscribing to the service, configure the integration between SAP Document Management Service and Google Workspace.
On the S/4HANA side, set up the integration with the SAP Document Management Service using the SAP_COM_0190 communication scenario. Use the oAuth2SAMLBearerAssertion flow for authentication.
To use this integration, all three systems must have users with the same email address and appropriate authorizations.
The UI integration uses URL navigation. To access the Google Workspace applications, log on to Google Workspace.
Connecting SAP S/4HANA and Google Workspace to the central IdP infrastructure supports single sign-on (SSO).
