I agree with your point. I use API and REST synonymously for two related reasons. One is that like many people, I've associated REST and API with each other too much that I sometimes don't realize I'm using them synonymously. But also the industry tends to equate API with synchronous calls: SOAP, REST, gRPC, often GraphQL. People think of event streams as something separate. Although I would prefer calling event streams "APIs," that confuses many people who don't think so broadly and just associate API == REST. And for that Solace blog, I agree that's a good one. Solace is one of the vendors that has the right vision for EDA. Thanks for reading!

Yes indeed. I wrote this over a year ago. Now if you go to MuleSoft.com, the main Anypoint product page mentions RTF, but Anypoint Service Mesh is nowhere to be found in the marketing.
